TEAM DRIVE ADOBE INCOPY CRASHING HOW TO
If anyone has any idea how to stop this - or what is causing it - I'd be most grateful, as shouting at your colleagues isn't the most conducive way to get changes accepted. I heard a vague suggestion that it might be something to do with URLs or similar, but I haven't yet found a way to test that appropriately. You can use the menu command to switch off all caps, but you have to do that every time you create a new note, so it's not applying as a global preference. There seems to be no way to switch it back. It seems that when a given user opens the file, something happens - either it picks up a preference from the InDesign layout it's placed on, or the user accidentally does something (not sure what) and the preference for the notes gets changed.

We're using WoodWIng Smart Connection to route copy back and forth, but I don't think that is doing it. Try as I might, I can't find what is causing this switch. We're using InCopy CS5 and we are starting to experience a random issue in that the notes function switches to running the text in all caps. (sorry, the artist didn't screenshot the actual message for this one).Īny help would be a great help - and stop a mutiny by my editors! The file name hadnt been changed and we could find no reason why the package wouldn't open. InDesign user received the package back and when they tried to open it, an error message said that the assignments couldn't be found and the file wouldn't open. this is recurring often with only one InCopy userĤ. TEAM DRIVE ADOBE INCOPY CRASHING UPDATE
There have also been some error messages received by the artists when they get the package back and try to update the ID file. I believe some of his problems are human error - but don't have the technical reasons for the error messages.

I have an editor who travels a lot, and is having consistant problems with using the packaging workflow in InCopy.
